French Wine Tasting Tables
For Salt Water Farm Lincolnville, Maine

The first year of bi-monthly “Moon Suppers” at this coastal culinary destination were received with such success that hostess and chef Annemarie Ahearn quickly found herself with more eager guests than available dinner seats. With a stunning and formidable antique farm table already in place, Annemarie and her family immediately settled on an out-of-the-box solution. Inspired by the portable harvest tables utilized for picnics and wine tasting in the vineyards of early 19th Century France, the Ahearns commissioned Kelly to build a pair of large, square folding tables that would act as leaves on their current table and could be folded unobtrusively against the wall when not in use. Working closely with the clients Kelly was challenged with matching the size and color of their existing piece while keeping his design close to the {traditionally round} French inspiration. When these two breathtaking tables were delivered they seamlessly fit the aesthetic of the Salt Water Farm space. Despite their largess these movable tables continue to serve their intended purpose and act as mobile seating and serving for outdoor events.
